Let's face it, searching for information on the internet can be pretty boring at times. So why not spice it up with these great funny and practical Google tricks? What to play games, make the search page spin, defy gravity and much more. You can also entertain our friends with them and make them smile. The following lines reveal some useful features and surprises from Mountain View programmers known as "Easter eggs" that you may not have known about before.
Barrel rolling
Google the phrase “into a barrel roll” and press enter or click “Search Google”. The browser window rotates 360 degrees, a geeky reference to Nintendo's Star Fox series, in which wise old rabbit Peppy (an intergalactic fighter pilot) advises your character on how to avoid enemy fire by performing said maneuver. You can get the same fun effect by typing "z or r twice", which corresponds to the controller buttons you would press in-game.

Secret languages
If you want to reveal the aforementioned ability and experience for yourself how it works, for example, with language support for Klingon, press the familiar icon with nine dots at the top forming a square on the Google home page and go to the "Account" section, where you select the "Personal data" tab . Now you need to work your way to "Additional data and preferences in Google services" below, where the language settings are located. Here you can add, for example, Bork, bork, bork! (a joking language inserted into the game Guild Wars by its authors and based on the speech spoken by the character of the chef from the series The Muppet Show), but there is also pirate language or the mentioned speech of the famous warriors from Star Trek.

Search through images
Are you looking for something specific, but can't find the right keywords to describe it, or just can't remember? One of the more useful fun tricks with Google is to search by image by clicking the camera icon on the home page and uploading a file. You'll then be shown the results, which tend to be admirably accurate, while also offering identification of the contained text and even translation. For example, I tried uploading my photo of a JBL speaker, which didn't make it clear what the proportions were or how close the label was, but the output contained a match with the JBL Authentics 300 model. Of course, this is nothing new, since Google Lens has been with us for years, but however, many times (especially on the desktop) you don't think how useful it can be.

Fighting gravity
Another funny feat of the programmers is "Google gravity", with which you break the search engine into pieces that can then be dragged, bounced and poked around the screen in all kinds of ways. Just follow the above link on the "Try Your Luck" homepage and see for yourself.

An arcade from the 80s
Google is known for using its homepage for fun tricks for all sorts of anniversaries and commemorations of (not just technological) feats from history. In May 2010, it celebrated the 30th anniversary of the popular classic PAC-MAN with a fun browser version of the game. After entering the query above, the "Holiday PAC-MAN Logo" preview will be displayed first, while clicking the launch button will take you to 1980 in a smaller format, where it will appear on a separate layer, or you can select the link Packman Doodle enjoy full-screen entertainment.

Would something be wrong?
It's easy to get the impression that something's wrong if you make a request to Google "ask". You come across something funny, the whole screen tilts a little to the right. Further proof that the people at one of the largest technology companies in the world do not lack a sense of humor.
Minute or stopwatch
You may want to test whether a presentation fits into your time frame or try to clean the kitchen in less than 10 minutes. Google has a quick solution for this as well, which is always at hand. Just enter "set timer for..." and fill in the desired range. The search engine will show you a timer at the top of the screen. It can also be stretched to the entire width of the display, while next to the Timer tab there is also a stop watch (Stopwatch), with which you can easily measure, for example, in the next panel, how long a given activity actually lasted.

Meaning of life
In the Google search box, type "answer to life, the universe, and everything", i.e. "the answer to the question of life, the universe and everything" and you will receive a direct and clear response: 42. Yes, the result is an allusion to the now classic work of science fiction literature - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by the English writer and playwright Douglas Adams, which here they claim that the problem plaguing entire generations of people has just this solution...
Win, fate, decision
Who will take out the trash? Heads or tails? Together with the spread of payment cards, the time when we always had a coin in our pockets is probably gone forever. However, you can replace it with the Google command "flip and coin", which will display a coin under the search bar and throw it right away, so you leave the responsibility of who goes outside in the rain to the trash can to fate...

Roll of the dice
You arrived at the cottage, it's raining, so you think you might as well play something. You will come across a file of games. Great, unfortunately the previous visitor must have misplaced the cube somewhere. It doesn't matter, Google is there for you even in such a situation. You tell him "roll and die” and the seeker will roll one, two or “x” dice for you as per your choice.
