Boost engagement by recognizing the 'unsung heroes' in your team. These are the individuals who consistently contribute, but may not seek the limelight. To effectively acknowledge their efforts, consider implementing a peer recognition program where team members can nominate colleagues for their hard work and dedication. Highlight these stories in team meetings or through internal newsletters and social media shoutouts. This approach not only values consistent performance but also fosters a culture of appreciation and mutual respect. A simple 'thank you' can make someone's day and motivate the entire team.

Being part of a team comes with many privileges, including opportunities for growth, collaboration, and shared success. However, it's important to recognize that not everyone has equal access to these privileges. Acknowledging privilege within a team context means recognizing the advantages that some team members may have over others. Whether it's access to resources, networks, or opportunities for advancement, it's important to actively work towards creating an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and supported, regardless of their background or circ*mstances. Let's use our privilege to amplify marginalized voices, challenge bias, and advocate for fairness and justice. Remember, privilege shouldn't be a source of guilt or defensiveness but rather a call to action to address systemic inequities and create more equitable opportunities for everyone. As a team, we have the power to make a difference. Thanks Guys ... Once STG, Always STG. We will always be the Major Share.

How Scottish Psychedelic Band, The Shamen, help the Operations team at Granby “Do the Doing”.The latest in our series where we ask team leaders within Granby our Super Six questions. This week, it’sAndrew Gregson, our Operations Director. Can you give a very brief overview of your department's main responsibilities within#Granby?Operations – we do the doing, whatever is put our way we do in an efficient and timely manner. Is there a specific challenge or opportunity your department is currently facing – that you can share?Every day at Granby offers a new and fresh challenge for each of us and how we adapt to this is what makes us great at what we do. The unknown nature of each challenge is part of the job. What do you enjoy most about the culture and environment in your department? The people are what makes Granby what it is, great team spirit where everyone works for each other. Can you share one memorable moment that made you feel proud to lead this department?Too many to mention as there have been so many during my 23 years working here which in itself is pretty memorable. If your department had a theme song, what would it be and why? It’s a track from The Shamen, a Scottish Psychedelic band. The track is ‘Progen’ although it’s better known as ‘Move any Mountain’. As the lyrics say, “Faith is so strong now nothing shall bar my way, Firm conviction is no fiction, This is my day, I can move, move, move any mountain.” That is definitely a feeling embraced by everyone in the team.If your department could have a superpower, what would it be and how would it benefit the team? The ability to read people’s minds! It would definitely help sometimes to know what it is that someone wants before you start.Take a look at the completed Super 6 Surveys from …Victoria Pittmanhttps://lnkd.in/evya8Tg7Paul Dunleavyhttps://lnkd.in/e_DbJt6c

The most important (and underappreciated) aspect of recruiting: Exceptional talent wants to work with extraordinary Character. If you're trying to land the best team, you need to be at your best - humble, courageous, committed, and understanding. Will they have a true partner when faced with challenges? Will they be dealt with fairly? Will their contribution and development of their team/community be championed? Will they grow into a better version of themselves by working with you EVERY day?

"Embracing Uniqueness, Celebrating Diversity: The Power of Inclusive Team Building"As Mother Teresa so eloquently put it, "You can do what I cannot do. I can do what you cannot do. Together, we can do great things." This wisdom highlights the importance of recognizing and valuing individual uniqueness and differences in building a successful team.A team is like a vibrant bowl of salad - a harmonious blend of diverse ingredients, each bringing its own flavor, texture, and nutrients. Just as a single vegetable cannot create the beauty and taste of a salad, a team built around a single person or perspective lacks the richness and impact that diversity brings.Inclusive team building is the key to unlocking greatness. By embracing and celebrating our differences, we create a dynamic and innovative environment where everyone thrives. When we bring together individuals with varying strengths, weaknesses, experiences, and perspectives, we create a powerhouse of creativity, problem-solving, and growth.Let us strive to build teams that are inclusive, diverse, and empowering. Let us recognize and utilize the unique talents and contributions of each team member. Together, we can achieve greatness.

Creating warm memories that last a lifetime is the Radio Flyer mission and I believe that traditions are often the spark for these memories. We use company traditions as a way to recognize our Flyers for their hard work throughout the year. For example, each year at our December company meeting, we sing the classic holiday song but add a Radio Flyer twist — the “12 Days of Radio Flyer.” But in our version, we replace the lyrics with accomplishments from the year. It’s always a playful way to celebrate & bring the team together. If you’re trying to start traditions within your company, keep these important tips in mind so they stick:- Initiate traditions with a purpose- Connect them to a value- Sprinkle in some fun
